How It Works
STEP 01 — PEEL & APPLY
Peel the backing off the patch to expose the gel side.
Reach behind you and press the gel side firmly against your back. The patch is designed for solo application — you don't need to see what you're doing. Press firmly across the entire surface to ensure full contact with the skin.
A few things to know before you apply:
- Make sure your skin is clean and dry
- Wait at least 30 minutes after showering or exercising — warm skin and open pores increase sensitivity
- Do not apply over moles, cuts, or irritated skin
- Room temperature skin is ideal
STEP 02 — WAIT 7 MINUTES
Set a timer for 7 minutes and leave the patch in place.
During this time the depilatory gel is breaking down the hair at root level. You'll feel a mild tingling sensation — this is normal. If you feel burning or significant discomfort remove the patch immediately and rinse with cool water.
Do not leave the patch on for longer than 9 minutes. More time does not mean better results — it increases the risk of skin irritation.
STEP 03 — REMOVE & RINSE OFF
Peel the patch away from your skin. The hair will come off with it.
Step into the shower and rinse the treated area thoroughly with lukewarm water. Do not use hot water immediately after — give your skin a few minutes to settle. You can use a gentle body wash to remove any remaining gel residue.
Pat dry — do not rub.
WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER
Your back will feel smooth immediately after rinsing. Mild redness may be present for up to an hour — this is normal and will fade.
- Avoid direct sun exposure on the treated area for 24 hours
- Avoid tight clothing that may rub the area for a few hours
- Avoid heavy sweating or working out for a few hours after application
- Moisturizer can be applied after the skin has fully settled — about 2 hours after
HOW LONG DO RESULTS LAST?
Because Bare Patch removes hair at root level rather than cutting it at the surface, results typically last 2 to 4 weeks. Regrowth comes in softer and finer than shaved hair.
For best results use Bare Patch consistently over several months — many users find regrowth becomes lighter and sparser with regular use.
IS IT SAFE?
Bare Patch uses a depilatory gel chemistry that has been used safely in hair removal products for decades. We recommend a patch test 24 hours before your first full application — apply a small amount of the gel to the inside of your wrist, wait 10 minutes, rinse, and check for any reaction over the next 24 hours.
If you have sensitive skin, a history of reactions to depilatory creams, or any skin conditions on your back, consult your dermatologist before use.
Full safety information and ingredients are listed on the product packaging.
